Delete your TruLink account
How to delete your TruLink account and the data attached to it, from the app or by email.
The app and who operates it
App: TruLink, published for Android under the identifier com.trulinkcaribbean.app.
Operator: NEXORA TRULINK CARIBBEAN DIGITAL MARKETPLACE, registered at The Mews, Cascade Main Road, Cascade, Trinidad and Tobago. The platform runs at www.trulinkcaribbean.com.
Delete your account from the app
You can delete your own account from inside TruLink, without asking anyone. You need your password: a phone left open on a table is not enough to erase its owner’s account.
- 1Open the TruLink app and sign in.
- 2Open the Account tab. Providers and freelancers can also use the menu on their profile screen.
- 3Tap Delete my account.
- 4Read what gets deleted and what stays, then tap I understand, continue.
- 5Enter your password and tap Delete my account. The account is removed straight away and the app returns to the welcome screen.
Deleting an account cannot be undone. Signing out is not the same thing: it only clears the device, and the account stays.
Delete your account from a browser
The same deletion is available on the web, from the account page where you manage your name and password.
- 1Sign in at app.trulinkcaribbean.com.
- 2Go to your account page.
- 3In the Delete your account panel, choose Delete my account.
- 4Enter your password and confirm.
If you can no longer sign in
If you lost access to the app or to your password, write to privacy@trulinkcaribbean.com from the email address on the account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. Tell us the name on the account. We may check that the request comes from the account holder before we delete anything, and we reply to the same address once it is done.
Email a deletion requestWhat is deleted
- Your account and the email and password you sign in with.
- Your profile, your photo and the work photos you published.
- Any identity, registration or certificate document you sent for verification, including the files themselves in our private document storage.
- Your provider or freelancer listing, so it no longer appears in the public directory.
- Your application for verification and the details you gave when you registered.
- The saved state the app keeps for your account.
What stays, without your name
Some records belong to two people. Erasing them would take away the history of the customer or provider you dealt with, who asked for nothing. These are kept, with your name replaced and nothing left linking them to you:
- Past bookings, so the customer or provider on the other side keeps their own record. Your name is replaced by “Deleted member”.
- Messages you already sent, shown as coming from a deleted member.
- Reviews you left, without your name, so provider ratings stay honest.
- Any problem you reported to the TruLink team, kept readable by the team but no longer linked to you.
How long it takes
A deletion you make yourself, in the app or on the web, happens immediately: the account is gone by the time the screen closes, and the documents and photos are removed with it.
A request sent by email is handled by hand. We act on it as soon as we can and confirm by email once the account is deleted. If anything delays it, we tell you rather than leave you waiting.
Retention periods vary by data type, and TruLink may keep certain information where the law, a safety matter, a dispute or fraud prevention requires it. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
